Quick answer: Commercial painting is a fundamentally different discipline from residential work, in scheduling, products, project management, and expectations. Here is what we have learned from completing hundreds of commercial projects across Bluffton and Hilton Head.

Scheduling Around Your Business

A retail space, restaurant, or medical office cannot afford to close for a week. We approach commercial projects with a sequencing plan that minimizes disruption: phased work by area, off-hours and weekend shifts when necessary, and clear daily start and stop boundaries so your team can work around us. We have painted commercial spaces overnight, over weekends, and during slow seasons.

Products Built for Commercial Durability

Commercial spaces absorb more punishment than residential ones. High-traffic corridors, handprint-prone surfaces near doors and light switches, areas subject to moisture in food-service environments, all require commercial-grade coatings with higher durability ratings. We specify industrial eggshells, semi-gloss coatings with scrubbability ratings in the thousands of cycles, and in food-service environments, products that comply with FDA and NSF requirements where applicable.

Working in Occupied Spaces

Occupied commercial spaces require additional care around air quality. We use low-VOC and zero-VOC coatings wherever possible to minimize impact on employees and customers. Clean-as-you-go is not optional, it is part of our process. We stage work to maintain ventilation and avoid painting adjacent to HVAC returns without appropriate protection.
